To know about the sweat and toil of an ordinary Indian farmer and to respect his choice of life is a great thing that one can do. Yet, sadly today's education system has an unhealthy tendency to focus only on the academic sides. In order to change this scenario the government and the department of Education have come up with many innovative programs for the youth. Haritha Keralam, Organic Farming, Biodiversity Park and Swatch Bharat and NSS are some of them. Students who engage in these programs gradually develop respect for manual work which will greatly influence their future lives. Students come to know that the life of a farmer, a scavenger, a cobbler and that of a janitor is not below to any other vocation. Just as a doctor, a teacher, an engineer they also contribute their own part to the building up of a strong nation. Therefore we can unequivocally (without doubt) say that these programs promote dignity of labor among children.
