“What a piece of work is man, How noble in reason, how infinite in faculty, In form and moving how express and admirable, In action how like an Angel, In apprehension how like a god, The beauty of the world, The paragon of animals. And yet to me, what is this quintessence of dust?”
Well it’s time to say that the greatest dramatist of all time was wrong about his estimation of man as a species.
Every human being born into this world is born into a large mire of interconnected cultural, sociological, religious and technological discourse. However difficult one tries, it is almost impossible for one to sift the truth from many of these and still live one’s life. It is one’s own sorry lot and responsibility to discover the truth or at least find the golden path to success by leading a fight against these delusions and atavistic beliefs which no longer serve us.
In schools, we are taught subjects after subjects as if we are machines. Yet, those who teach us never make a commentary about where we, human beings, as a species is headed. (Neither does Herari but he certainly asks us why you should not). As a result, we strut and trudge all the while holding the baggage of old phantoms and know not what to do.
I think more than anything what Herari did for us it is the saving up of time that is his greatest contribution. I can assure you that this book will teach you many things, shake your belief systems, and will leave you astounded at no one but homo sapiens. In his own words: the Dissatisfied irresponsible Gods!
